Area of Pembrokeshire

The Coast of Pembrokeshire has been a National Park since 1952.

Pembrokeshire is the perfect place to relax, explore and join in the great outdoors.  There are over 50 beaches which are all superb and are just as inviting in the Spring, Autumn and Winter as well as the Summer.  Whatever time of the year you visit Pembrokeshire, one thing is certain, you will always experience a warm welcome.

The South, West and North coasts offer plenty of clean, sheltered water to enjoy water sports of all kinds.  There are in excess of 400 wrecks to explore and dive on.  Pembrokeshire also has an abundance of Marine Nature reserves including Skomer and Skokholm, care must be taken at all times not to damage or have any impact on the environment whist exploring this amazing coastline.

Watersports equipment and clothing is readily available in the many surf shops around the county.  Why not try your hand at many of the sports on offer??  Taster sessions can be arranged at West Wales Wind Surf and Sailing.  Lessons or hire is available from March to October, novice or expert, you will find all you need to enable you to enjoy the mile wide safe bay at Dale.

There are lots of walks for both the walking enthusiast and the amateur.  The more gentle walks of the coastal path such as Stackpole Quay to Barafundle and Saundersfoot to Wisemans Bridge are a less taxing way to enjoy the National Park and the wildlife.  For the more challenging walk there is Amroth to Tenby.

Check out the local bus service or contact Cambrian Routes to customise your walk.  Cambrian Routes can collect you from any point along your walk and return you to Richmond House.

Milford Haven is a short drive from Dale.  Explore the Museum or just relax in Martha's Vineyard and watch the hussle and bussle of Marina life.
